The goal of this course is to familiarise students with the key elements involved in modern VoIP communications, enabling them to make informed decisions and provide valuable contributions to technical discussions with regard to modern communications methods. Ideal for those looking to get into VoIP, as a rescue for those who may have dived in too deep or as a “bigger-picture” exposure for those who's knowledge may be a little too narrowly focused.
The course aims to provide a complete view of IP telephony, covering all major aspects of the field: from the basics of how it works; onto internal mechanisms (with an emphasis on SIP/SDP and RTP); via external connectivity, additional services and security; finishing with a look at many of the advanced features available to VoIP. Deliberately structured to be as broad as possible whilst at the same time delivering valuable and detailed knowledge on each of its topics, this course will give you the strength in depth you need in today's high-tech world. |
